Young Engineers Club

Our aim is to inspire young people to develop an interest in engineering, and, in doing so, recognise the importance and excitement of engineering.

Our Young Engineers Club has proved to be a great success in the 5 years it has been running, with over 20 youngsters regularly participating in a variety of fun engineering challenges and competitions.

Our YEC opens the eyes of youngsters to the diversity of activities that are involved in engineering and illustrate the enormous impact that engineering has on the modern world today.

A wide range of activities and challenges aim to encourage young people to develop an interest in all things to do with engineering and technology.

The programme is sufficiently flexible to meet the needs of all ability levels, making clubs suitable for everyone.  It is designed to encourage girls as well as boys into this exciting area .

The Young Engineers Club runs on a Tuesday night at the Institute from 6.30-8.00pm.  Note there is a small charge for this.

We currently have a waiting list for those interested in joining. If you would like more information, or to put your name down on the list, please call Lorraine Boyle on 01592 784847 or email training@fwtc.net. Someone will be in touch with you when places become available.
